Shakira Abubakar – is a student who, in Grade 10, founded her first NGO, Continental Rescue Africa. In March 2012, Ms. Abubakar launched a second NGO to support young women in Ontario. Sisters of Substance is a leadership program in Ontario to empower girls for personal and social change. In 2009, Ms. Abubaker was a Canadian delegate at the World Youth Congress.
