The Assaulted Women's Helpline

This province-wide helpline is available 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, 365 days a year. It offers crisis counselling and referrals for women needing a shelter, legal advice or other supports. This service is free and is available in over 100 different languages.

This provincial number automatically connects French-speaking women to the crisis line for women who are victims of violence. Calls are directed in priority sequence to one of the three regional lines in the province. This service is free and confidential and is available 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, 365 days a year. Respondents are available to help, listen, intervene in an emergency, and provide referral services for women needing shelter, counselling or other support.
Shelternet provides abused women with information and resources including a clickable map of shelters in Canada. It supports shelters through no-charge online services such as a "Build Your Own Website" template.

Sexual Assault and Rape Crisis Centres offer a wide variety of services to victims and survivors of sexual violence. Services include a 24-hour anonymous crisis/support telephone line, individual and group counselling, court, police and hospital accompaniment, information on the legal system, and community referrals. Francophone services are available in designated areas.

The Canadian Association of Sexual Assault Centres is a Pan Canadian group of sexual assault centres who have come together to implement the legal, social and attitudinal changes necessary to prevent, and ultimately eradicate, rape and sexual assault.Les centres d'aide et de lutte contre les agressions à caractère sexuel (CALACS) (French Only)
The centres d'aide et de lutte contre les agressions à caractère sexuel (CALACS) are sexual assault support service centres that offer a broad range of services to sexual assault victims. Services include a telephone crisis and support line available 24 hours a day, individual and group sessions, accompaniment services to hospitals, police stations and tribunals and referrals to other community services.

Ontario Network of Sexual Assault / Domestic Violence Treatment Centres
Sexual Assault and Domestic Violence Treatment Centres provide 24-hour emergency medical and nursing care to women, men and children who have recently been victims of sexual assault and/or domestic violence. Services include testing for pregnancy and sexually transmitted diseases, administration of the evidence kit, medical follow-up, crisis intervention for immediate emotional support, and referrals to appropriate community-based agencies.

Sexual assault and domestic violence support centres offer emergency medical and nurse services 24 hours a day for men, women and children who have suffered a sexual assault or domestic violence. Services include pregnancy tests, testing for sexually transmitted diseases, use of medical and legal information kits, emergency treatment services which include immediate emotional support and referral to appropriate community organizations. Some centres offer services in French.
