Children's Aid Societies

Children's Aid Societies are non-profit agencies that protect children from physical, sexual and emotional abuse and neglect. If you have concerns about a child, contact your local Children's Aid Society by phone immediately. Family Responsibility Office

The role of the Family Responsibility Office is to process child support payments and spousal support payments and to ensure that they are paid on a regular basis. The website includes information on how the program works and how payments are enforced.

The Office of the Children's Lawyer

The Office of the Children's Lawyer is a law office in the Ministry of the Attorney General, which delivers programs in the administration of justice on behalf of children under the age of 18 with respect to their personal and property rights. Lawyers within the office represent children in various areas of law including child custody and access disputes, child protection proceedings, estate matters and civil litigation. Supervised Access Centres

Supervised Access Centres provide a safe, neutral and child-focused setting for visits between a child and non-custodial family member. Families can use supervised access centres if they have a court order for supervised visits and exchanges, or both parties agree, in writing, to the use of a supervised access centre.
