October marks Women’s History Month in Ontario. It is an opportunity to acknowledge and celebrate the achievements of women in every aspect of Ontario life. Since its inception in 1992, Ontario has proudly participated in this special month by profiling the many achievements of women who have made Ontario a better place to live.
Please join me this year as we salute Ontario's "Women in the Lead" – the risk-takers, leaders and innovators who broke through barriers and helped pave the way for those who have come after them. Ontario’s “first” women and so many others are powerful examples of how women continue to improve the lives of others in their communities, schools, workplaces and throughout Ontario.
