Research Commercialization and Innovation Graduate Certificate for ITIs

This is a 12-month graduate certificate program for internationally trained individuals at the masters or doctorate level who wish to work in positions that apply theoretical research to commercial applications. 

The program is for internationally trained individuals with a strong research or engineering background who do not have knowledge of the applied research industry in Canada. Participants will also receive language training.

 The curriculum includes such topics as:

  • entrepreneurship and small business skills,
  • project management,
  • developing effective proposals and soliciting and managing venture capital. 

Upon completion of the in-class components, participants undergo eight weeks of work placement in the field, along with mentorship and employment support services.
