Minister’s Message

Hello, I’m Michael Chan, Ontario Minister of Citizenship and Immigration.

National Volunteer Week – which is taking place April 27 – May 3 – is a time to celebrate the province’s volunteers.

This year the ministry is back again challenging, Ontarians – and in particular young people – to volunteer during the week.

Gandhi, the founder of New India, asked people to be the change they wanted to see in the world.

We’re asking you to volunteer and be the change.

As someone who has volunteered for many years I personally know how rewarding it can be.

This Volunteer Week, do something good for your community. Do something good for yourself.

Get involved. Make a difference. Change the world.
