Hello, my name is Ann Coburn, Chair of the Ontario Volunteer Centre Network.

During National Volunteer Week, April 27th to May 3rd, Volunteer Centres are encouraging youth to participate in their community through CHANGETHEWORLD, the Ontario Youth Volunteer Challenge.

The Ontario Volunteer Centre Network is proud to partner with the Ontario government in this exciting and innovative challenge where youth are encouraged to become involved in their community, to experience change and to be the change through volunteering.

As one young volunteer stated: “Volunteering helped me to feel good about myself; it showed me my skills; but most importantly, I made a difference in someone’s life.”

Youth are our future; youth are the change; and youth will MAKE the change.  Celebrate the strength of Ontario – our volunteers – during National Volunteer Week, April 27 to May 3rd.
