Hello. I’m Michael Coteau, Ontario’s Minister of Citizenship and Immigration.
April 7th is Yom HaShoah - recognized around the world as Holocaust Memorial Day.
On this day we remember the innocent victims of the Holocaust who were murdered under the Nazi regime.
We reflect and learn from the horror experienced by the victims of the concentration camps and remember that we all have a duty to stand up for what is right.
To fight discrimination and racism.
And to create a better society together.
On Holocaust Memorial Day, families mourn loved ones who died before their time.
Let us rededicate ourselves to the pledge – “never again.”
