Taking Risks the Safe Way: Risk Management and Insurance Practices of Ontario’s Voluntary Sector (in PDF)

This is a first time profile of Ontario’s not-for-profit/voluntary sector. It includes provincial, national and international data on insurance and risk management practices. It includes feedback from 1,300 representatives of voluntary and not-for-profit organizations across the province.

The Ministry of Citizenship and Immigration commissioned the report to help the voluntary sector organizations build capacity for managing risk and to support their work in encouraging voluntarism across the province.

The report was published in 2009 and is based on research conducted by the Centre for Voluntary Sector Studies, Ted Rogers School of Management, RyersonUniversity.
