Partnership Project Consultation

The Partnership Project began as an eight-month consultation process to discover ways on how to strengthen the relationship between the Ontario government and the not-for-profit (NFP) sector.

Roundtable discussions
Between May and December, 2010, the co-chairs, Dr. Eric Hoskins, then Minister of Citizenship and Immigration and Ms. Helen Burstyn, then Chair of the Ontario Trillium Foundation, hosted in-person roundtable discussions in nine communities: Grimsby, London, Minden,Mississauga, Newmarket, Ottawa, Sudbury, Thunder Bay and Toronto.

Roundtable meetings were also held with representatives of sub-sector organizations as well as groups of fund raising professionals and private and public funders.

As well, the not-for-profit sector and the public were invited to share their views online. There were more than 440 registrants. Another 456 people responded to an online survey.
