The following Bridge Training programs can help internationally trained biotechnology professionals upgrade skills and get the information needed to find a job in Ontario’s biotechnology sector.
- International Biotechnology Technologist Professionals (IBioTP) (Ottawa)
- Pathways to Employment for Internationally Trained Professionals in Biotechnology (Mississauga)
This program offers an intensive International Biotechnology Technologist advanced diploma. Internationally-educated professionals holding degrees in the sciences can obtain a three-year advanced diploma in one year. Participants receive occupational language training, cultural training, Canadian work experience, one-on-one mentorship from industry personnel who have a background in biotechnology or a related field, employment preparation and job placement support.

This program offers an intensive certificate in Canadian Biotechnology Enterprise. The program courses include Canadian biotechnology and biopolicy, occupation-specific language training, workplace culture and communications training.
