Each year, Ontario welcomes more than half of all newcomers to Canada. Immigration is vital to Ontario’s growth and newcomers play a key role economically, socially, and culturally in making Ontario strong and prosperous.

The Newcomer Champion Awards program is a newly created program designed to recognize Ontarians who have facilitated cultural understanding and diversity or helped newcomers to successfully settle and integrate.
Eligible activities may include, but are not limited to:
Nominees must be residents of Ontario
Posthumous and self nominations are not accepted.
An independent selection committee reviews all nominations and selects the recipients.
Nomination forms may be submitted at any time. The deadline is March 15 of each year. All nominations received after this date will be considered for the following year.
