The Lieutenant Governor’s Community Volunteer Awards for Students honours an exceptional student volunteer attending an Ontario secondary school.
About The Lieutenant Governor
The Honourable David C. Onley is Ontario's 28th Lieutenant Governor.
This award is given to a graduating student from each of Ontario’s secondary schools. There are about 1,100 secondary schools in Ontario. The Lieutenant Governor’s Community Volunteer Award for Students honours those who not only complete the number of volunteer hours required to graduate, but who go above and beyond.
Recipients of this award are selected by secondary schools across Ontario.
The awards are presented at school graduation ceremonies, or other special assemblies.
What does the award symbolize?
The Award is an oval pin. The Crown on top symbolizes the Lieutenant Governor’s role as the Queen’s representative in Ontario. Green and gold, Ontario’s official colours, form the background.
Forms are available on this website in PDF and HTML format.
