Each year, we honour Ontarians who make our province a better place to live. Through the Honours and Awards Secretariat, we celebrate the contributions of our seniors and young people. We recognize the bravery of those who serve as police officers and firefighters. We acknowledge outstanding achievement in education, health care, business, science and medicine, community service, the arts, and many other fields. And we honour the volunteers of every age who contribute selflessly to building caring communities across Ontario. These individuals serve as an example to us all and we encourage you to help us honour them by nominating someone in your community who deserves special recognition.
The Ontario Honours and Awards Secretariat is happy to introduce you to our online nomination process.
Instead of submitting your nominations via hard copy, we want people, like yourself, to use our online nomination template. We have developed a web tool that is easy to use and allows you to securely submit data online.
You can fill out the template in no time from virtually anywhere — your home, your work or any public computer. We encourage you to use our online nomination process. Test it out. If it’s not for you, you can still send in your nomination forms by mail.
Time Limit
There is no time limit on how long you can take to fill out a nomination on-line. However, if you let your computer sit idle for more than 20 minutes at any time the screen will go to sleep and you will lose all the information entered. We’ve placed a time limit for security reasons.
You will not be able to save your nomination and return to it at a later time.
To make the process easier for you, we suggest you prepare your supporting documents in advance. Documents such as testimonial letters and achievement descriptions.
