Nomination period for the Diamond Jubilee is now closed.
Ontario celebrates Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II’s accession to the Throne 60 years ago, by awarding outstanding citizens who have achieved excellence and demonstrated a commitment to the growth and prosperity of our province.
To be eligible for this honour, a person must:
To ensure that every field of activity is recognized, Ontarians have been invited to nominate candidates from their community or organization for this national honour.
Any individual can nominate someone for this medal.
Nomination period for the Diamond Jubilee is now closed.
If you do not have the means to nominate online, please contact the Ontario Honours and Awards Secretariat.
Nominations may be submitted at any time, up until 5:00 pm on April 30.
A selection committee will consider all nominations and select the recipients.
All medals will be presented by February 28, 2013.
Detailed information concerning the organization and preparation of presentation ceremonies will be sent to recipients at a later date.
Each recipient receives a medal, a certificate and a lapel pin.
