On July 18, the McGuinty government opened the Ontario Bicentenary Exhibit Commemorating the 1807 Act to Abolish the British Slave Trade to help Ontarians learn more of the history of slavery in Ontario and the contributions of all those who fought for its abolition.
The Exhibit brings history to life with scheduled events, including lectures, story-telling and music.
It is only in remembering the past that we are fully able to realize the future.
Admission to all activities is free of charge.
The Ontario Bicentenary Exhibit will close its doors on Friday, December 28, 2007. Thank you for your patronage.
